Floatel had identified ineffective maintenance strategies and tasks across its vessels. Equipment failures, maintenance costs and reliability concerns showed that the existing plans needed a closer engineering review.
PSW carried out reliability-centred maintenance studies on 28 systems, covering critical and non-critical equipment. The team assessed failure modes, existing preventive maintenance tasks and spares lists to determine what each system needed.

The studies informed revised preventive maintenance tasks, operator care routines, condition monitoring activities and spares lists. PSW worked with Floatel to implement the results in its maintenance system, giving the fleet a more consistent and considered approach to maintaining equipment.
